Discovery Pyburn, 1981, Proceedings of the Biological Society of Washington, 94: 67.
Type locality "near Wacará (elev. 216 m, long. 69° 53' W, lat. 1° 08' N), Comisaria de Vaupés, Colombia".
Holotype The holotype is located under number: UTA A-3989 in the University of Texas at Arlington.
Etymology
Classification E. myersi is a member of the Epipedobates femoralis group.

Distribution Amazonian Colombia (Caquetá and Vaupés), ca. 200 m elevation.
