Type locality "Serra do Navio, Territorio do Amapá, Brazil, about 120 m".
Holotype The holotype (LACM 42297) is located in the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, USA.
Etymology
Classification Epipedobates pulchripectus is a member of the Epipedobates pictus group.
Synonymy English name: Silverstone's Poison Frog / Blue-breasted Poison Frog (CITES) / Beautiful-breasted Poison Frog (CITES).

History
Physical description Size: 22.5-27mm
Distribution Known only from the type locality in the Guiana region of northern Brazil, near the Rio Amapari (tributary of the Rio Araguari), 100-310 m.
Biotope
Care and breeding They can be kept at a temperature of 25-28°C.
