| Physical description | Size 12-15.5mm, black-brown base with a little orange, coppery dorsal stripe. The ventral is blue. |

| Biotope | M. minutus prefers open spaces, but no direct sunlight. |
| Care and breeding | M. minutus is active early in the morning and in the evening (7.00 am to 11.00 am and 15.00 pm to 17.00 pm). In a vivarium of 40 cm x 40 cm x 40 cm at a temperature of 23-25°C, with moist absorbing material on the bottom and walls like fern root and mosses, some branches and rocks, 5-6 pairs can be kept. The 1 to 3 eggs are laid in between the leaves and hatch after 15 - 20 days. The metamorphosis is completed in 50 - 60 days. It is best to raise the larvae separately. |
