The water return system is something that I am relatively proud of due to its simplicity and working principle. The rectangular pipe has sawed openings in the bottom of the pipe which are covered with a fine mesh to prevent polution of the water and clogging of the pipes and pumps. The water in the vivarium will fill up the pipe from its own pressure. The air in the pipes can leave the construction due to the breathing pipe which is installed behind the backwall. Since the heigth of the PVC pipe going through the back wall will determine the water level in the vivarium, the vivarium will not overflow or dry out with evaporation. This will only affect the water level of the easy accesible and changeable water container below the vivarium. Via the PVC system the water will return in this container and be pumped again into the vivarium via the waterfall pump and the backwall watering pump.
